8.5 - Search Routine Flowchart

This example is for a Modem search. DVB searches are similar.

Press Find

Satellite Button

Calculate proper

elevation and

skew from GPS.

Calculate proper

azimuth from

heading info.

Move to center of

search window

and initiate

search.

Adjust the center

of the search

window and skew

setting based on

pitch and roll.

Get polarization

from the config

file.

Get stored

satellite longitude

from the config

file.

Modem

Lock?

Peak antenna on

RX signal.

Return to Main

Menu

Increase search

window and adjust

search speed

(slow down).
